This afternoon her Honour President Kingham of the Queensland Land Court provided directions as to how the New Acland Coal Mine Stage Three Project approval application will be heard. This follows the Supreme Court finding on 2 May 2018 that the 31 May 2017 Land Court of Queensland recommendation be set aside.
This afternoon her Honour President Kingham of the Queensland Land Court provided directions as to how the New Acland Coal Mine Stage Three Project approval application will be heard. This follows the Supreme Court finding on 2 May 2018 that the 31 May 2017 Land Court of Queensland recommendation be set aside. President Kingham directed that the remitted hearing would be set down for a one day hearing of oral submissions in court as soon as practicable after 28 August 2018. New Hope welcomes the directions which provide the opportunity to progress the hearing for the approval of the Project and in doing so provide the opportunity for ongoing employment for the circa 700 jobs reliant on it.
